The alternative medical modality of holistic, natural,

safe, individualised, side-effect-free and affordable health care

Hermes once separated two serpents entwined in mortal combat to bring about peace. These serpents were later included in the medical Caduceus as a sign of wellbeing.

Allergy
Smelling tlowers can be hazzardous

Dont let your child suffer springtime infections

0, let us be gay for the spring is now here,
With its birds and its bees and its can of bock beer.

So wrote the poet Albert Stround but for many the awakening season brings with it its own springtime health challenges including: .
1. Allergies due to various springtime pollens are estimated to affect some 38% of the population. Symptoms involve inflammation of skin, mucus membranes, respiratory tract, digestive system and eyes. Homeopathic treatment addresses the cause of the sensitivity to allergens by strengthening and increasing the patients resilience (natural immune system). A resilient person is able to withstand a wide variety of environments by responding appropriately to each situation without suffering chronic ill effects. Additionally Homeopathy is side effect free and can be used long term without adverse results.

2. Asthma is an inflammatory condition of the respiratory tract characterized by difficulty in breathing after contacting allergic pollen. Homeopathic remedies are used as alternatives to steroid/ bronchodilator medications and can be given in acute situations to reduce reliance on puffers. More importantly professional Homeopathic treatment works holistically reducing the Total Environmental Load which in turn progresses the patient towards cure

3. Gastroenteritis (stomach flu) is particularly active in early spring.  It causes vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, headache, fever, and stomach cramps. In addition to keeping fully hydrated Homeopathy can help relieve the symptoms of discomfort replacing irritability and restlessness with calm and contentment.

4. Influenza (common flu) affects those with reduced resistance and who are susceptible to the constant change in seasons from cold to warm to cold. Typical symptoms include fevers, headaches, nausea, fatigue, coughs, colds,
and muscle and joint pains. Homeopathy can
come to the rescue with its holistic approach
of stimulating the natural immune system to
heal itself.

5. Skin affectations are also common as a result of emerging insects (bites) and plants (stings). Homeopathy quickly sooths the irritating itch and restores the skin to full health.

Outpatient services in Crisis

Here are some unfortunate facts concerning outpatient waiting times in Irish Hospitals.
1. There are a total of 360,000 on the waiting list.
2. This number includes 113, 00 who have been waiting over 1 year and 16,000 who have been waiting more than 4 years

3. This is double that of a year ago

Meanwhile there is a severe cutback in funding whilst at the same time demand rises by about 7%/year. A spokesperson for the HSE acknowledged that as a result of the recession the cutbacks are taking their toll particularly on the provision of outpatient services.

Burns

Burns and Scalds -
Homeopathy to the rescue

Homeopathy can be very effective in treating minor burns or scalds by applying a variety of creams to the affected area.

If the burn stings and is painful but has not blistered apply Urtica, Calendula or Hypercal cream on the wound immediately after it occurs. If there is a blister take Cantharis 30c (in tablet form) hourly, remembering to drink plenty of liquid as the loss of body fluids through burnt skin causes dehydration

Once the wound has been tended to, do not forget the possibility of emotional shock which may need to be addressed next. Take Arnica 30c in alternation with Aconite 30c, every fifteen minutes for up to six doses. These are two very effective remedies for this condition. Also Bach Rescue Remedy Spray is equally good and you may find it more convenient and readily available.

Antibiotic resistance
Antibiotic resistance

Homeopathy the Answer to Antibiotic Resistance

Finding alternative ways to avoid antibiotic resistance will enable you to regain your health in a risk-free environment, whilst continuing to maintain a natural defense for any future illnesses. Homeopathy helps to balance and stimulate the bodys natural healing response instead of causing biological imbalances through the use of synthetic antibiotics unable to differentiate between friend and foe in the bacteria within the body.
