Inspiring Homeopathy's
Universal Layer
Saccharum officinale

The Focus of Saccharum officinale (Sacc) is lack of self love, leading to a fear of not deserving mother's love and to a fear to being abandoned by her. The basis of this fear is caused by a lack of self-love.

Self-love is in some way the basis of love, as the second commandment says "love thy neighbour as thyself" or as Jesus himself put it "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. " Matt 7/12.

The fear of abandonment is centred on the mother rather than the father because the child experiences his mother as the one who is his source of love, warmth, affection and assures his need for food and security. It is mother that caries and rocks him during the first nine months of his terrestrial life and assures love, affection and food during his first steps in the outer world. Whilst the father may be the provider the mother is the home maker.

In order to understand saccharum we must first understand why there are so many opposing symptoms.  To do this is to understand the two main reactions of someone frustrated in their need of love and affection. Fristly they either try to compensate their lack or secondly they refuse all form of affection with the extreme situation of refusing to eat as in a form of anorexia.

The first reaction is the more favoured way to compensate for lack of affection. There is a definite link between love and sweets and that's why we say "sweet boy or girl" "honey", "sweetheart", "sugar", etc. Food desires and aversions, appetite and eating play an enormous role in compensating our deep and even superficial frustrations. Thus the most frequent way to compensate a lack of affection seems to be the use of sweets which play an enormous role in compensating our deep and even superficial frustrations. That's why there are in Saccharum many symptoms related to food desires and aversions, appetite and eating.

In the second reaction where all affection is studiously eschewed there is a lack of appetite with no feeling of hunger at all at any time and there can be also a total absence of thirst, but more frequently the Saccharum patient is very thirsty. They feel weak, trembling, empty in the stomach and dizzy and get a headache.

Mental symptoms
These include a great desire for eating chocolate and sugar resulting in an enormous aggressiveness, In children particularly there are violent fits of anger with striking, kicking, vandalism, aggressiveness and discontentedness.
Conversely the opposite symptom can present itself namely that of an aversion to sweets. If sweets are eaten, even a little bit of chocolate, it can be too much resulting in irritability, anger, aggression with a difficulty in controlling emotions

Physical symptoms
These can range from

  • Sinusitis, chronic rhinitis and otitis, with foul, purulent discharges to chronic infections and chronic diseases. As Hering said. "It provokes a degeneration of the blood vessels resulting in bad circulation and arterio-sclerosis."
  • Thirst for large quantities or no thirst at all.
  • Great need to cuddle or refusing every contact.

Exaggerated sucking of fingers or absence of sucking.

Typical Symptoms in Adults

A. General
Need to possess things and objects.
Everything in the mouth ie finger sucking or nail biting or smoking
Incapacity to have a lasting relationship
Always in search of permanent love but never finding it
Profound frustration which cannot be satisfied
The analogy is like that of a holed bucket. Water can be constantly poured into it but it never fills up.

B. Obesity
Subconsciously the body has a lack of affection which it fulfils with a desire for food and sweet things. Every extra calorie is retained and transformed into fat because that is the way the body reassures itself by building up its reserves. Sacc can treat the underlying problem of lack of affection. However not everyone can be helped by Sacc. In about half the cases the solution lies with Lac-m.

C. Jealously
In later life this feeling may be evidenced when the attention the partner gives to other people/causes/ things/ business causes a feeling of desertion or abandonment

Typical Symptoms in Children
A. General
Need for cuddling
Everything in the mouth ie finger sucking or nail biting
Loquacity, constantly asking questions particularly when the parents attention is elsewhere,
Attention seeking, shouting, moving arms legs to be seen, doing forbidden things to be noticed, restlessness, fidgetiness, fighting, aggressive.

B. Extreme Restlessness
ADHD-children with disorders associated with the carbohydrate metabolism.
Digestive problems constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence and abdominal pain.

C. Jealousy
This can be the case in an eldest child who has to share his mother's and father's affection with a newly arrived sibling resulting in a profound doubt about his parents' love for him. This feeling is based on a fear of abandonment and separation causing the child to follow the mother constantly, desiring only to stay in physical contact with her, wants to be carried, have her hand held, sit on her lap and suck his fingers, remembering and compensating the intimate contact of the mother's breast. Upon waking at night feeling anxious they scream for their parents and can be consoled only by lying in the parental bed making close physical contact.

Followed Well by:- Lac maternum, Carcinosin (sometimes)

Belladonna (Bell)
Has in common with Saccharum officinale: the congestion of the head and flushes, the restlessness, the aversion for warm food, vegetables and milk, the aggressiveness with striking and kicking; the waking from fright, the bed wetting, the maliciousness; the irritability on waking, the impulse to touch everything, the changeable mood and defiance.

Carcinosin's (Carc)
Symptomology and that of Sacc appear frequently in the same patient. In such cases start with Sacc and when the remedys action is complete follow with Cars.
In cases where the Cars symptoms initially seem the most prominent start with Cars and then after the progress of the remedy has completed follow with Sacc

Conversely consider following with Cars when Sacc no longer progresses patients who initially presented with Sacc as the most prominent symptom.

Case Histories
Saccharum officinale

Case 1
A seven year old boy came for hay fever treatment with painful running eyes throughout spring, summer and autumn; with frequent epistaxis, intolerant to warm weather, and painful eyes from sunlight, wore a cap at the least sunshine, sneezed much; open mouthed, used an antihistaminic (Triludan) without much benefit,  was a difficult character (particularly after chocolate or sugar): very aggressive, with bouts of sudden anger, malicious, tried to hurt his mother by breaking her loved objects, stood before her with a malicious smile, very restless and wild, insolent and of foolish behavior, otherwise timid and withdrawn, not aggressive at all, never fought with or struck other children, had never sucked his fingers or put anything in his mouth; not breast fed, feared failure, feared the dark; hard on himself, doesn't weep when he had pain; desired sweets, chocolate, smoked meat, jam and beans

Prescription: Sacc 10M

Results: The first days were very tense, afterwards much more open and not aggressive at all, even after chocolate, no desire for sweets or chocolate any more; less fear of failure, for the first time in his life he dared to go out shopping for his mother by himself, less fear of the dark, hay fever gone as snow melts in the sun: no sneezing, no problems with his eyes, no bleeding nose, reduced appetite; even his mouth is more closed.
Now 14 months later he is still fine, but needs Sacc10M from time to time to correct his behavior.

Case 2
An eight year old boy; easily disturbed, thin skinned both literally and figuratively; screamed and shrieked with closed fists, restless, aggressive, striking and kicking, wept easily, sensitive to pain; felt unaccepted, unloved by his parents; feeling of "the world is against me" , desired death, bad loser, discontented, hard to please, desired something else all the time, weak, tired, nauseous, had pain in abdomen, sweated at night; woke at 5(30) a.m., bed wetted until then age of seven and a half years, constipated (diarrhea for one year); allergic to the sun as well as to sugar, desired sweets, family history of diabetes including grand mother and all maternal  siblings, ate the whole day, became irritable if without food for two hours or more a
s a result of which he was prone to  tease, kick, strike, be insolent. He was better on a sugar free diet.

Prescription: Sacc 10M (now I would prescribe a 30K first)

Results: Strong aggravation for two weeks: "enfant terrible"; very sensitive, shouting; very irritable before breakfast; thinks he is despised, neglected, doesn't accept agreements; bored with everything.

A slow recovery followed: calm, much more approachable, also less aggressive generally less pain and anger, more socialised; less weeping; no discontentment any more; no night sweat; no pain in abdomen; no irritability following two hours without food; a little less desire for sweets; but still waking early in the morning, chaotic, untidy, sugar still aggravated, more warts on his toes (three and a half months later).

Now two years after the commencement of the treatment he still needed Sacc from time to time. When he took Sacc.50M he still has an aggravation for three to for days when he complained that nobody liked him and nobody loved him. At these times he is very discontented and hard to please, e.g. ten minutes after he got a brand new bike from his parents he said: 'I never get anything'.

Case 3
A 50 year old woman had many problems with her mother who reproached her for the poor education she says damaged her. She becomes very ill when taking chocolate and is intolerant to sugar as a consequence of her mother being over indulgent with sweets and too much sugar during childhood. She became very fond of chocolate, especially after her first menses with chronic constipation for which she had used laxatives all her life. Pain in breasts during ovulation and before menses

Prescription: Sacc 10M

Results: Very constipated for the first two months and then for the first time in her life no longer constipated with no requirement for laxatives, no longer a pain in breasts during ovulation, also no longer victim in her dreams, and increasingly experienced the feeling that was someone.
Some symptoms remain including a lump sensation in the throat which cannot be swallowed, a sensation of tears in her eyes without lachrymation and restless legs (new symptom).

Case 4
A 43 year old woman with depression for I yr suffered from compulsive eating, felt mentally stronger if she ate, used laxatives, many fears, especially of losing control and of being rejected, as a child intractable, passed her youth in different children's homes, easily angered, had outbursts of forsaken feeling, bit her nails in her youth.

Prescription:  Sacc 1M once a month;

Results: A week later she experienced a fever lasting for four weeks with earache (she hadn't had fever for many years) with nausea from the odor of food. After the second dose a month later outbursts of anger, no weakness, no desire for sweets, no laxatives any more; a lot of feelings of her childhood came back: feeling of isolation, of rejection, of mistrust; strong forsaken feeling. She lost ten kilograms weight in two months.

Case 5
A very thin pale eleven year old girl presented with sleeping problems. She slept with a 4 ft teddy bear but woke frequently from nightmares and dreams in which she was persecuted by people, computers or anything from which she couldn't escape. Upon waking with an icy cold face and sweaty nose she slipped into her parents bed. She had done this often from early childhood and thought it was unfair that her parents could sleep together whilst she had to sleep alone. She abhorred light in her bedroom, because she was afraid of the shadows. There were curtains around her bed that had to be closed carefully so that no light could enter. From birth she had a very strong need for cuddling. She was very sensitive to pain and fainted from injections. She suffered a lot from anticipatory anxiety concerning school tests and home work, was easily panicked and as a consequence was performing below par. She was irritable on waking, often nauseous on rising and in a car, frequently suffered pain around her navel, she drank a lot, especially water, emptying a glass at once and had a compulsive craving for chocolate. She bit her nails, always had cold hands, but regularly stuck a hot foot out of the bed. For the last 2 yrs she had about fifty molusci on the inner side of her thighs, labia and around the anus.

1st Prescription: Sacc  1M every three weeks

Results: Five months later she was sleeping much better, didn't have nightmares, but she still had some difficulties in going to sleep. She remained in her own bed now, removed the surrounding curtains, had no disturbing dreams, was less irritable on waking with no desire for compulsive chocolate eating. Her school performances considerably improved, very little anticipatory anxiety, the panic had gone and she felt free. The pain around her navel had also gone, but she now had headache at the end of the day (three times a week) mostly on the left side with painful eyes which was relieved by cold applications. All her molusci had gone except two. She stopped biting her nails, straightened up her body and looked at the world with open eyes. She dared to let herself show anger (a new symptom) whereas before she never had the courage to defend herself.
After a further three and a half months she felt much more grounded and defended herself much better.

However over the following two and a half months the remedy seemed to have no further effect resulting in her becoming pale and anxious with a return of abdominal pain.

2nd Prescription: Sacc LM 6 every day

Result: After 2 months she discontinued the daily dosing as she felt completely well. A check up after 5 months discontinuation revealed that she was fine and growing up without problems with no need for further medication.

Case 6
Girl, 8 years old, had in the past many problems with swollen tonsils, otitis, glue ears and diminished hearing. There was some amelioration on Calc-p and especially Lyc 1M in repeated doses which helped her a lot in changing behavior.

She now presented with dry spots around the mouth, itchy nose, difficulty falling asleep, fear of falling asleep; fear of change anticipatory anxiety; difficulties in letting go, desire to read; very fastidious, must be punctual, requirement to plan meticulously in advance, needed to be reassured; dictatorial with other children. However Lyc 10M has no effect and her behavior worsened. She was aggressive to her mother bargaining with her about everything, had difficulty making contact with others and was constantly accusatory towards them, very critical of other children; very restless even in bed; naughty coming home from school; adored her teacher; she had regular herpes labialis; was sensitive to pain; refused to be cuddled, demanded attention; often said to her mother: 'You don't love me any more.' She complained that she was always blamed, that her brother was always right, nobody loved her; angry when her mother left home and when she was reprimanded she lied and denied every accusation.

1st Prescription: Four doses of Sacc 10M on 8/12, 03/01, 04/03, 26/04

Results: Great change in her behavior, more sociable, less aggressive, not kicking or isolating herself any more, easier physical contact, milder, less dictatorial, better contact with the children at school; no longer feeling that shw was not loved, stopped saying that her mother didn't love her, more confident in herself. less restless, no herpes labialis.

Eruptions in the form of red pimples then broke out on the back of the feet, which slowly spread over the whole body.

2nd Prescription: Sacc LM6 daly

Results: She slowly recovered with the total disappearance of all eruptions in three weeks Now she only needs Sacc 10M rarely, about every three to four months, when she lapses and becomes quarrelsome. At such times everything seems wrong and she feels excluded.

Case 7
A lady aged 29 with PMS for over 10 years during which time she had been diagnosed with fibromas, together with an enlarged uterus and swollen ovaries. She experienced cystitis regularly, especially before her menses at which time there was a sore pain in her lower abdomen, a bearing down sensation in her uterus, a swollen sensation in her whole abdomen with lots of flatulence, difficult stool, nausea in the morning on rising and before meals, a feeling of weariness and sleepiness the whole day accompanied with difficult concentration and irritability. Generally her mood was very changeable, laughed and wept easily and was angry about nothing.

There was only one week a month she felt good: when she was quiet, yielding and sympathetic. She was very thirsty, drinking two or three glasses of water one after another. Craved chocolate, oranges, grapefruit, lemons and hard sour apples. She had an aversion for meat, fat and bananas.

She had a lot of problems during her childhood with her mother who she blackmailed during puberty by not eating. From age seven she was in constant trouble with her mother and often refused to talk to her for several days. She was the black sheep of the family and felt different. In reality she tried all her life, even as an adult to get the love and attention she needed from her mother without success. Four years ago she went to a psychiatrist because her general practitioner suspected the problems with her mother to be the cause of her joint pains. As the second of four children and the oldest girl she was given heavy responsibilities very early on, taking care of her younger siblings. Her father was "always absent" and was constantly disapproving of her. Her mother told her frequently about the problems she had with her father.

She was afraid of the dark, mice, small rooms and crowd, was easily disgusted, washing her hands very frequently, up to 25 times a day. She loved reading, dancing, and far away travel, wept easily over music, loved nature, sea and animals and was very fastidious.

There was a lot of cancer in her family on father's side and she had an enormous quantity of moles, which grew after her pregnancies. She was aggravated in a warm room and had always a window open, even in winter and couldn't bear the sun on her skin.

1st Prescription:  Carc 200C

Result: For the next six weeks she experienced overwhelming sleepiness, fell asleep whenever she sat down; concentration improved, no longer felt lonely, no fits of anger, no sadness and PMS gradually decreased. After this there was a relapse, in which she felt chilly, ate bread the whole day, lost weight, had cramps in abdomen, much flatus, very tired, dry skin, dry hair and very thirsty.

Comment: Her new symptoms clearly indicated Sacc but at this moment in time Dr Smits was completely ignorant about the remedy. He decided to follow the advice of J.T. Kent who said "Don't change your remedy unless there is no longer a good reaction."

2nd Prescription: Carc 1M

Comment: This was an error. There was no good reason to give a higher potency; even risky, could provoke a tumor.

Result: At first she felt completely at sea, was very restless and had severe flu, but then slowly and gradually she got better; no PMS or dreams of journeys far away.

She then got pregnant and was nauseous from the third month with an alternating hard knotty constipation and diarrhea, abdominal cramps, constant flu; very somnolent with a tremendous appetite

3rd Prescription: Op1M

Result: Much better but required Op 1M with increasing frequently until delivery .

Comment: Probably needed Sacc instead of Op which resembles Sacc a lot.

I saw her back ten months after her delivery during which time she had constant problems with her bowels, pain, flatus, constipation alternating with diarrhea; nausea for half a day after stool, pain in the region of umbilicus and overwhelming sleepiness after each meal; chronic flu, very chilly; unconscious loss of urine.

4th Prescription: Op 10M

Result: Better stool, but still a lot of problems before stool, nausea, cramps, backache,  chilliness; very insatiable just as if having a hole in her stomach, felt as though she had to eat to avoid fainting; poor concentration and forgetful.

5th Prescription: Nux-v 10M
Result: Some amelioration but not consistently and repetition had no durable effect. Tried again Carc 1M which precipitated acute arthritis and was cured quickly with Cupr 30

Probably discouraged by the homeopathic treatment I saw her again one year later. She had salpingitis three times accompanied with very high fever during the ovulation which had been treated with antibiotics. (The during ovulation symptom is a strong Sacc indication.) She was very tired every morning, in a very bad humor, her PMS was back, considerable bowel pain, arthritic problems and very dry skin. Additionally she was very thirsty and hungry all day with an enormous desire for sweets; her appetite was out of control. She preferred bread instead of cooked vegetables but she adored raw vegetables and was very sensitive to pain.

6th Prescription Sacc 1M every three weeks

Comment: By this time I had already cleared up a major part of the picture of Sacc and I was sure she needed this remedy. No other remedy could cure her on that profound level, a remedy that was (clearly) indicated for almost two years and which through ignorance I was unable to give her until now.

Result: She came back in a bad shape feeling very ill with a bloody purulent discharge from her right ear. Her inexhaustible hunger had disappeared, but her articulation complaints were worse so much so that she couldn't walk because of a kind of paralysis in her right leg which she had as a child. She felt very irritable on Sacc and her bowel complaints hadnt improved

Comment: How to understand this reaction? Wasn't it the right remedy or was it a too high a potency? How to interpret the ear infection? I wasn't sure I gave Sacc 30C in water over two days without success and followed with Op 200C also without success. Hepar 200C was tried next again without success so I sent her to a specialist who tried three different antibiotics all to no avail. Her ear continued to discharge a bad smelling pus. Three months later she came back very tired, very restless to the extent that she could hardly sit for a moment, her PMS was as bad as ever and she had again an insatiable appetite eating everything she could find. Her moles started to grow again very rapidly. I was convinced then that Sacc was the right remedy and that she had such a bad reaction because of too high a potency.

7th Prescription Sacc LM6 one dose a day

Result: (I videotaped this consultation so I'll let her tell her own story)
"I took the remedy as I felt the need for it (ie not every day). Things immediately started to change without me being aware of it. One morning my children said to me: "Mum, you are not angry any more in the morning." I started my day without any problem and everything was easy, I had a lot of energy, I don't go to bed with the children any more. My irresistible craving for food was gone and my memory was tremendously improved, I remember now things without any effort, things I learned at school, as if I have again access to it, unbelievable!

My fear of mice is completely gone! We went on vacation to a location full of mice. They appeared from time to time in our tent but I went to sleep without any fear.  My husband was astonished. The pain in my ear that was left after the chronic infection is now completely gone and my PMS is much better. My chilliness is also completely gone, I dress myself differently. I always used to dress in a jacket even in summer when other people were wearing T-shirts. I also completely changed my style of clothing. I never bought clothes for myself, only for my husband and my children, but now I pay attention to how I am looking and that is wonderful. Oh, I am getting my curly hair back as when I was a child.

Q.: What about your weariness?
A.: Oh, I have a terrible energy now. I came by bicycle (15 km = 9.4 miles) and normally I would be exhausted, but now I am just doing it without any problem. I have started to do things I intended to do for a long time but didn't know how to. Now I just do them without further thought. I am again working outside home (teaching children) and I am taking several courses.

Q.: What about the other fears, like fear of death and fear of pain?
A.: Oh, those fears have gone completely also. As I am now, this is really me. What is coming is coming, and I am not worrying about it any more.

Q: Can you tell me the story about your mother?
A.: My mother always was a big problem for me. I tried to avoid her as much as possible. That was the easiest way to go. Although I initially felt guilt I have got over that feeling now. For instance now if I needed her for babysitting I just called her. Before I needed at least two days to get up enough courage to ask her. She doesn't refuse any more as she often did formally. It is amazing to see how our relationship has changed as if by magic. She spontaneously offers to help me. I look differently at her now and my feelings to her are different. Now I see how old she is. It's a very strange feeling that suddenly she has become a grandmother I don't need her any more. I have become a mother myself. Yes, that's what has happened. She made a big step aside. I still love her but I have grown up. Now that I am a mother myself my children are reacting quite differently. My daughter is much more open to me and I don't have to make efforts to have a good contact with her.

I am standing up for myself and I am able now to delegate things, e.g. the care of my children when I am working. I thought I had naughty children and that nobody would like to take care of them. The fits of anger I had regularly since my puberty have completely gone now. I have the feeling of more space in my head and can see everything in normal proportions, but when that space is disappearing then I explode and that is horrible.

Q.: Do you still have physical complaints?
A.: Yes, I still have pain in my left lower abdomen around the menses and I am still constipated before my menses, but on the emotional level I am feeling much better before my menses and I don't have swollen feet any more.

Q.: What about the physical contact with your husband and children?
A.: Oh yes, definitely I have more space for others. I always had a difficult contact with my daughter and now our relation is much easier. In the relation with my husband there is a complete change, because when I didn't feel well I wanted him to touch me like a child. Now I can give my love to him, instead of only asking for it, as I did with my mother. I feel free now and every day I am still astonished about myself. I subscribed to a course for masonry to make alterations in our house, because my husband didn't have time. I didn't even discuss this with him. I just did it as if I was always used to acting independently.

Q.: How is your husband reacting to all this?
A.: Oh, he is really enthusiastic and amazed also. What I realized in such a short time is inconceivable, only because I have the space and energy for it now. I feel that I can still go further. I feel that I am still growing, I mean mentally and emotionally, that I will realize things that were impossible before. I have a different feeling for my body, a different contact. I feel much prettier and my hair is curling, I respect myself, my body and personality, and I stand up for myself.

Comment: She still takes LM6 every three to four days and she is feeling great

Case 8:
A six year old boy had diarrhea from eggs (especially), tomatoes, fruit and sugar, pain in his stomach and legs, frequently had purulent eyes ( a birth symptom) as well as severe behavioral problems including hyperactivity, rebelliousness, horrible fits of anger with striking, kicking, stamping, breaking things in front of his mother, maliciously biting his brother as well as biting inanimate objects in an attempt to destroy them. He was afraid of anybody taller than himself and always struck first. He talked continuously, wanted to be cuddled constantly and was intolerant to punishments. He perspired on the head and feet, especially at night.
1st Prescription: Bell 10M

Result: No success.

Upon further consultation it was found that he constantly asked for sweets and was always hungry, longed for warm milk, was afraid of monsters at night, felt weak from 2-3 p.m., was very dictatorial, was constantly falling, asked continuously if he was loved or if he had done well. He had a lot of flatulence from cabbage.

2nd Prescription: Lyc 1M

Result: Temporary relief for two weeks or so

3rd Prescription: Chin 200K

Result:  Again temporary relief for two weeks or so.

Further consultation revealed that his aggression was especially directed to his mother. In spite of her endeavoring to be the loveliest of mothers to him she was the most horrible mother in his eyes. He wanted his mothers love but he couldn't handle it.

4th Prescription: Sacc.1M every three weeks.

Result: After the first dose his behavior became unbearable however with the second dose everything changed very quickly. His aggression disappeared completely, he became cheerful and reasonable, able to count with others, he was less tired; dared to compete with other children in running, etc., less fearful of failure; he laughed as never before and had a nice soft look instead a malicious scowl, even his gait became better and he didn't fall any more, he helped his mother with cleaning, etc. and was even able to say no to sweets.

Four months later
Q.: Can you tell me how he is doing now?
A.: He recovered completely and even his feet strengthened. Instead of waking screaming and kicking against his bed aying he will not get up, he was now in a good humour and asked what he could do for his nother. He even said "sorry mum" instead of kicking her when reprimand. Before the Sacc he only wanted to eat warm food but now he ate bread, cheese, meat, etc. and asked for fruit instead of sweets. Even his choice of music changed.  Before he wanted "house" music but now he listened to classical music and it maked him joyful. He was able to receive love and affection from his mother and could sit peacefully on her lap, an act which was inconceivable before.

Q.: Does he still get the 10M every three weeks?
A.: Oh no for the last two months he doesn't get anything any more.

Six months later he had a relapse with much abdominal pain and diarrhoea.

5th Prescription: Sacc 10M again every three weeks.

Result: His concentration improved as did his locomotor ability, his handwriting was clearer, his hair and nails grew faster and healthier and he was no longer pale.

Prescription: Sacc 30K once a week for three months and then Sacc 200C

Results: She eliminated snacking and educed meals to three a day without the need to stuff herself or eat to excess. In addition she slowly lost weight (10Kg) and didn't hate her body any more. In the morning after rising she was irritable until she had eaten breakfast. As a child she could be very angry and aggressive. Even now she had difficulties in controlling her bouts of sudden anger. Her father was calm, introvert but not affectionate. Her mother was dictatorial, restless and overly affectionate. She liked to be popular and knew exactly how to get the attention of the other children. Nowadays she still enjoyed the limelight and to have attention directed to her. She was very homesick and even now she could hardly take leave of persons or objects; she cried when she changed her old car for a new one.

1st Prescription:  Sacc 10M every four weeks over 4 months
